Hello and welcome to Wildstyle Africa.
My name is Graeme Hochschild, and I am a native born South African. If you’ve come to this website, chances are you are thinking about, or have already booked a photographic safari somewhere in Africa. I can tell you, having visited, explored and photographed the game parks of Southern Africa throughout my life, that you are in for one of the most exciting and picturesque experiences of a lifetime.
As I said, I grew up here in South Africa and have been photographing our animals for the better part of the last forty years. It all started when I was a young child. I received my first camera when I was twelve years old and saved my birthday money for my first zoom lens, anticipating an adventure with my family at Kruger National Park. Feeling invincible with my gear, I believed I was capturing stunning shots—only to discover no film in my camera! Over the years countless 35mm prints ended up in the trash. Yet, my fascination with wildlife photography persisted. I loved it so much that I embarked on a journey to become a professional photographer!
Over the years, I dove deeper into photography, studying the art of mastering light - an essential component of wildlife photography. Later I learned that years of study could not match practical experience.

If so, I am someone who has years of experience and technical expertise to capture those great shots of the Big Five, and all panoramic scenery of the African bushveld and its sunrises and sunsets.
